Are you passionate about understanding human behaviour and using research to shape the future of FMCG brands? We are hiring for two fantastic roles with a London-based strategic insights consultancy. This agency takes a unique, evidence-based approach to understand consumer decision-making and applying design thinking to create innovative, user-centred solutions. Their research directly influences brand positioning, product innovation, and customer experience strategies for top FMCG companies across food, drink, personal care, and household goods.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have had exposure to design thinking, user research, or design research methods - whether through internships, academic studies, or professional experience.

Role 1: Research Executive (Qualitative Focus)

Salary between £28,000 - £34,000. This role is ideal for someone early in their research career who is eager to deepen their expertise in qualitative methodologies, ethnographic research, and behavioural insights within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting human-centered research projects from setup to delivery, ensuring a seamless process.
  • Assisting in consumer interviews, ethnographic research, and focus groups, gradually taking on more responsibility in moderation.
  • Exploring how people interact with FMCG brands and products and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Managing fieldwork logistics, recruitment coordination, and project administration.
What We Are Looking For:
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in market research or design research.
  • Exposure to design thinking, user research, or design research methods (through studies, internships, or work experience).
  • A passion for understanding why consumers choose certain products and brands and how insights can drive innovation.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with an interest in storytelling through research.
Role 2: Research Executive (Quantitative Focus)

Salary between £35,000 - £45,000. This role is perfect for a research professional with strong quantitative expertise who is ready to take on more responsibility in a senior role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading behavioural science-driven research projects to understand consumer decision-making in the FMCG sector.
  • Designing quantitative studies to explore brand perception, product innovation, and shopper behaviour.
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and client communications.
  • Working with statistical techniques and advanced analytics to extract meaningful insights.
  • Collaborating with qualitative researchers and designers to ensure a well-rounded, mixed-methods approach.
What We Are Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience in a quantitative research role, ideally within an insights agency.
  • Exposure to design thinking or user research (through studies, internships, or work experience).
  • Strong data analysis skills, with experience in survey design, segmentation, or behavioural modelling.
  • Excellent project management abilities and the confidence to present insights to clients.
  • A keen interest in blending quantitative and qualitative research for deeper, more actionable insights.

If you are looking for a role where you can combine behavioural science, design thinking, and cutting-edge research to make an impact in the FMCG industry, we would love to hear from you!
