ECHO Personnel is seeking a reliable Paint Prepper to join our client's dynamic manufacturing team in Corby. The client is a well-established engineering and production business specialising in high-quality material handling equipment for industrial and logistics sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing metal components for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface finishing
- Operating grinding and abrasive tools to remove imperfections and prepare surfaces
- Using hand and power tools to ensure surfaces meet required finish standards
- Inspecting components for quality before moving to paint stage
- Following health & safety procedures at all times, particularly when using abrasive wheels and grinders
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting wider production team with general factory duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in paint preparation, fabrication, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Abrasive Wheels / Grinder certification (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Physically fit and able to stand, lift, and perform manual handling tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Shifts: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30, Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
