ECHO Personnel is recruiting an experienced Hygiene Supervisor for a well-established food production company based in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on Hygiene professional to join a growing business offering a permanent contract from day one within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Pay: £13.49 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the hygiene team during the shift, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed effectively and on time.
- Ensure hygiene cleaning schedules are adhered to at all times.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to hygiene operatives when required.
- Verify hygiene operative competency and identify training needs.
- Manage day-to-day hygiene tasks to maintain Food Safety, GMP, and Food Integrity standards.
- Investigate and respond to hygiene-related non-conformances in line with company procedures.
- Support investigations into environmental and food contact swab failures.
- Plan and oversee cleaning of factory equipment including tins, racks, and frames.
- Monitor hygiene consumable stock levels and escalate replenishment requirements.
- Maintain hygiene traceability documentation for audits, customer visits, and compliance purposes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Hygiene role (food production experience is not essential).
- Strong understanding of hygiene standards, Food Safety, and GMP principles.
- Proven ability or strong potential to lead, motivate, and manage a team of cleaners.
- Willingness to learn and understand food production environments and processes.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 3:00pm
