ECHO Personnel is recruiting an experienced Field Service Breakdown Engineer for a well-established industrial engineering company based in Rushden. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated engineer to join a growing business offering a permanent position within a varied industrial maintenance and breakdown environment.

Salary: £35,000 - £48,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend customer sites to carry out electrical breakdown repairs, servicing, and maintenance
  • Diagnose faults using electrical drawings and fault-finding techniques
  • Work on a wide range of industrial machinery including compactors, balers, shredders, printing presses, extruders, and automated systems
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance work efficiently and safely
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the business on-site
  • Work independently to identify issues and restore machinery operation
  • Support preventative maintenance and servicing activities across multiple industries

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within an industrial maintenance or breakdown engineering environment
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Relevant City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering
  • Full UK Driving Licence
