Echo Personnel is proud to be recruiting for an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join a successful and growing manufacturing business operating within a modern production facility. You'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production equipment, ensuring reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across the site. Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Permanent Nights: 10:00pm - 6:00am

The Role: As an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance activities, ensuring production equipment remains safe, reliable, and efficient. Working closely with production and engineering colleagues, you'll use your technical expertise to diagnose faults, implement repairs, and contribute to ongoing improvement projects that enhance operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and site equipment.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Diagnose faults and implement permanent corrective actions to minimise downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and assist with condition monitoring activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's maintenance management system.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrade projects.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and engineering standards.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, packaging, logistics, automated warehousing, or similar industrial environment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery and automated equipment would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience: Experience within a food manufacturing environment would be beneficial; however, candidates from other manufacturing or industrial backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
