ECHO Personnel are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver for a well-established manufacturing business based in Oakham. The company is a world leader in the production of synchronous alternators and is looking to strengthen its warehouse team with a reliable and skilled operator working on a 08:00-16:30 shift.

THIS IS A PERMANENT ROLE.

The successful candidate will support goods-in, production line feeding, and despatch operations, including computer-based stock and system administration tasks. This is a varied role that is not 100% forklift driving and will involve cross-functional warehouse support as required.

  • Transport and deliver components and parts to production assembly lines
  • Load and unload lorries safely and efficiently
  • Prepare, pick, and pack customer orders for despatch
  • Assist with stock control, inventory management, and location accuracy
  • Use warehouse systems (e.g. SAP or similar WMS) for stock updates and administration
  • Identify and report warehouse process issues, suggesting improvements
  • Provide flexible support across all warehouse functions as required

Requirements:

  • Valid ITSSAR-accredited Reach Truck licence (essential)
  • Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (Desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in warehouse operations and stock control
  • Experience using SAP or similar warehouse management systems (desirable)
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook
  • Flexible and willing to support occasional overtime/weekend work if required
