We are currently recruiting for two Automation Technicians to join a busy and growing manufacturing operation based in Corby. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering or a related discipline who are looking to build a career working with automated machinery and production systems. Whether you have previous automation experience or are looking to develop your skills in this area, full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a range of automated machinery to ensure production runs efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate, monitor, and support automated production machinery.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
- Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Support machine set-ups, adjustments, and changeovers.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery is operating at optimum performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and operational records.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, or technical environment.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Experience working with automated machinery or production lines.
- Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical fault finding.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
