We are recruiting an experienced Field Service Breakdown Engineer for a well-established industrial engineering company based in Rushden. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated engineer to join a growing business offering a permanent position within a varied industrial maintenance and breakdown environment. Salary £35,000 – £48,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to carry out electrical breakdown repairs, servicing, and maintenance.
- Diagnose faults using electrical drawings and fault-finding techniques.
- Work on a wide range of industrial machinery including compactors, balers, shredders, printing presses, extruders, and automated systems.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance work efficiently and safely.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the business on-site.
- Work independently to identify issues and restore machinery operation.
- Support preventative maintenance and servicing activities across multiple industries.
Requirements
- Previous experience within an industrial maintenance or breakdown engineering environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
