ECHO Personnel is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) for one of our clients based in Corby. Our client is a well-established and growing packaging manufacturer, supplying high-quality corrugated cardboard and bespoke packaging solutions to businesses across the UK.
As a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical), you’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing production machinery to ensure equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. You’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations by carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns when required.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults quickly and effectively
- Respond to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical components as required
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs
- Work closely with production teams to support operational efficiency
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve machinery performance and reliability
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Engineer role
- Relevant engineering qualifications preferred
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
- Experience working within manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
- Reliable, proactive, and hands-on approach
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £45,000 per year
