We are currently seeking an experienced Flexographic Printer to join our team in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in flexographic printing, ink technology, and slitter operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in achieving KPIs and maintaining quality levels set by the Line Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and controlling print quality.
  • Adhering to standard operating procedures, including PPE, health and safety, hygiene, and quality protocols.
  • Accurate completion of all related paperwork and data input into Prism for print quality checks.
  • Optimizing press speeds for efficient production.
  • Ensuring compliance with SOPs to prevent defective quality materials from reaching the customer.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities across the site.
  • Providing holiday and sickness cover in accordance with the production agreement.
  • Conducting effective shift handovers.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping, including 5S auditing.

Key Requirements

  • Good attendance and timekeeping.
  • In-depth knowledge of the flexographic printing process.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Prism.
  • Excellent organizational and self-motivational skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Working Hours

Production roles are on a 4 on, 4 off rotating schedule, involving 12-hour shifts (days and nights). Ink/Slitter roles and management positions are based on a dayshift schedule, with shifts lasting 10–11 hours.

Salary

The salary for this position depends on experience, starting at £13 per hour and potentially going up to £16–17 per hour for the right candidate. Higher remuneration can be discussed based on qualifications and expertise.

Contract Type

This role initially offers a temporary to permanent contract for candidates demonstrating exceptional performance.
