Are you looking for an exciting new role with the potential to develop and grow your career? Then look no further! Working for Echo in partnership with NI Water, we currently have a vacancy within our Field Services Department for Customer Liaison Officer.

About the role:

This is primarily a customer facing role which involves travelling to visit premises within the NI Water territory to discuss/resolve issues related to debtor disputes and investigating issues related to occupancy, data and potential lost revenue streams. The role is a multi-skilled role covering off many types of work streams including metering inspections and testing of water supplies. Individuals must have a current UK driving license. A vehicle will be provided - for business purposes only and not for personal use. Due to being a field based role, individuals will be required to structure their own workloads to optimise coverage; ensuring that visits are carried out effectively in a timely and productive manner. Visits should be prioritised in accordance with any associated KPI/SLAs liaising closely with Field Services Management Team in relation to these.

Candidates will ideally have experience of working in field based inspection or customer service roles. They must be effective team players who are able to work on their own without supervision and deal with members of the public in a courteous, professional and helpful way. Good communicators who are well organised and highly self-motivated, they will be comfortable managing their own workloads to achieve pre-agreed targets and deadlines. Must be comfortable dealing with people in a rational, reasoned and calm manner whilst remaining assertive.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of using IT systems and packages including Microsoft Applications
  • Experience of working within a customer/client focused environment (Preferably Face to Face)
  • An effective relationship builder someone who can quickly establish rapport with people
  • A strong team player who strives to achieve team as well as individual targets
  • Full driving license with no more than 3 penalty points

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in Utilities (Water Industry & Metering background preferable)
  • Experience of using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other technology for managing and recording customer contact.
