The Role
The UK Product Manager is responsible for defining and implementing the UK product requirements, road map and implementation of product features and enhancements. Key is to ensure Aptumo’s competitive positioning in the UK marketplace to support Echo’s wider growth aspirations. The successful applicant will act as a bridge between stakeholders, development team and customers, helping to translate business needs into clear requirements, ensuring alignment with the company\’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Works closely with stakeholders (e.g., customers, business leaders, UX, engineering) to understand the product vision and translate it into actionable user stories / references.
- Ensures that each feature aligns with the broader product strategy and goals and aims of the business.
- Own the UK product roadmap including all elements from ideas to inception.
- Understand the UK market drivers and trends
- Manage and tracks risks, issues and dependencies, which affect the delivery of new features.
- Working with stakeholders to ensure product documentation (Including Knowledge Articles, Release Notes etc) and quality checking of these documents to ensure a high standard is achieved and maintained.
- Work with clients in developing case studies and references that show case the impact and value of the UK offering.
- Help support and deliver bespoke and engaging demos of the Aptumo product (and wider solution footprint) as part of Pre-Sales activities, at conferences, trade shows, events and to prospective clients.
- Support/drive ongoing continuous improvement activity as we mature the product management function
- Understand the competitive landscape that Aptumo operates in
- Collaborates with other regional Product Owners or teams to align on cross functional initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- Experience in working in the UK Water industry – ideally in a client facing capacity and understand of Billing Software
- Able to work with internal and external customers to analyse needs and align product backlog and roadmap to strategic goals.
- Strong and proven networking and matrix management skills
- Develop scope and define backlog items features that guide the Agile software development team.
- Solve product-related problems, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a feature.
- Assess value, develops cases, and prioritize stories to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
- Represents team in front of stakeholders, clients or users.
- Work closely with product management and senior management in order to create product features that fits the company strategic objectives.
- Research and analyse market, the users, and the roadmap for the product.
- Follow our competitors, regulatory changes and the industry as a whole.
