SCOPE OF THE ROLE

Collaborative. Positive. Respectful. Organised. Exceptional People Skills. An exciting opportunity to join the Echo House Project Team as a Creative Project Coordinator. Working within our dynamic and creative studio and production house supporting projects from inception to delivery on site, literally bringing concepts to life! This unique opportunity provides the scope to bring ideas to reality in the most luxurious of retail environments, pushing the boundaries each and every day.

This full-time role will involve working closely within a creative project team hub composed of the Creative Director and a Creative Project Manager. Together, you will be coordinating a wide variety of projects for one of Echo’s longest standing and prestigious Luxury Retail clients, as well as additional work for the Creative Director, who works with new clients and new creative briefs. The role is required to work full time at our Surbiton studio, alongside the rest of the Echo House team.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with a fast-paced environment, a key to which is the ability to multi-task multiple projects at any one time. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be working closely with a number of internal and external stakeholders, including all departments within Echo House; Studio, Design, Production, Fabrication, Logistics and Dispatch, as well as our wonderful clients, suppliers and installers. Previous experience or working within the retail display/graphic/production design industry is extremely desirable. Alternatively, any relevant experience that supports an understanding of the professional creative process is ideal.

At Echo, our workflow approach is a hybrid. Dependent on the nature of the works, we combine the structured predictability of the Waterfall method with the flexible adaptability of Agile. This necessitates that all our team members are comfortable and proficient in both approaches, ensuring seamless integration and adaptability according to project demands.

The nature of our industry is that working ad hoc additional hours, or out of normal working hours, can be expected as a normal function of this role. Paid overtime, or time in lieu, is not provided for this. The leadership team of Echo House remain committed to limiting the extent and potential impact of this, for all individuals at Echo.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring Echo House maintains its status as an industry leading team of dynamic, proactive & professional specialists. In-depth training is provided as a core part of all new starters’ induction. In addition, with such a nuanced and bespoke business, on-the-job learning remains the single most effective way to learn what we do and how we do it.

CORE KNOWLEDGE BASE

  • Experience within a project coordinator role is essential.
  • Experience within the world of retail visual merchandising is ideal.
  • A good working knowledge of the retail sector, particularly luxury beauty and luxury fragrance, is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of both the luxury print and fabrication industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of professional work within other creative sectors is an advantage.

CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Supporting the Creative Project Manager and the Creative Director with daily and ongoing tasks. These include but are not limited to ad hoc creative tasks, sourcing, sampling, project administration, internal team liaison, external supplier liaison, project planning, storage management and general overall scheduling.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Inputting jobs onto our MIS system.
  • Translating orders into a brief for the studio, production, packing and installation teams.
  • Data Management involving spreadsheets for orders and rollouts.
  • Liaising with our studio, production, fabrication, dispatch and installation teams to ensure jobs and projects are on track and gathering feedback to be passed on to clients on their current status.
  • Preparing installation briefs for bespoke jobs.
  • Onsite Styling and installations support.
  • Preparing POD reports and administrating photo feedback during rollouts.
  • Many and varied ad hoc tasks – it’s different every day!

This is also aimed to encourage and broaden individual skills and ambitions. To perform other reasonable tasks as required by the Directors or your department head. Promote sustainable operations to colleagues, clients and suppliers.
