About Echo
Echo is building an all-in-one platform that lets anyone create, launch and grow their own AI assistant without writing code.
We are fully bootstrapped and have already:
- Launched our iOS app
- Secured our first users and paying customers
- Received an ElevenLabs grant
- Joined NVIDIA Inception
- Been selected by the Scottish Government for a two-week Silicon Valley programme in October 2026
- Built a live platform covering AI assistants, Echo Pages, voice, workflows, bookings, payments and connected channels
We are looking for an ambitious student to help grow Echo’s social media presence and community while gaining hands‑on startup experience.
What you will do
You will support Echo and its co‑founders across X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.
Your work will include:
- Finding relevant conversations and publishing thoughtful daily replies on X
- Engaging with founders, creators, businesses and AI communities on LinkedIn
- Supporting Echo’s co‑founders with content, comments and interactions from their personal profiles
- Drafting posts, captions, threads, carousels and short‑form video ideas
- Turning product updates, company milestones and founder insights into social content
- Responding to comments, mentions and community conversations
- Scheduling approved content through Planable
- Creating or adapting simple social visuals in Figma
- Researching relevant accounts, trends and community opportunities
- Sharing a short weekly summary of what worked and what we should test next
We want someone who understands that community management involves joining conversations, building relationships and adding value. Not simply publishing posts and flexing what we do.
How we work
We use:
- Planable for content planning, approval and scheduling
- X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
- AI tools for research, drafting and repurposing
We are open to AI‑assisted work, but everything must be checked and improved before publication.
We do not want generic AI comments, invented facts, repetitive writing, sloppy visuals or content copied directly from an AI tool.
Who we are looking for
This could suit a student studying marketing, communications, social media, PR, business, digital media or a related subject.
You should:
- Be interested in AI, technology and startups
- Understand how content and behaviour differ across social platforms
- Write naturally and avoid generic corporate language
- Have a good eye for content and visuals
- Be organised, proactive and comfortable working remotely
- Be able to take feedback and improve your work
Previous professional experience is not required. University projects, personal accounts, student societies and self‑initiated work all count.
What you will receive
- Direct experience working with Echo’s co‑founders
- Regular feedback and mentoring
- Practical startup marketing and community experience
- Portfolio‑ready work, subject to confidentiality
- A professional reference following successful completion
- Reimbursement of reasonable expenses agreed in advance
This internship does not guarantee future employment.
Important eligibility requirement
This unpaid internship is only available to students who are required to complete an internship or work placement as part of a UK‑based further‑ or higher‑education course.
Echo will require written confirmation from your university or college before the internship begins.
How to apply
Please include:
- Your CV or LinkedIn profile
- Your university, course and confirmation that the internship is course‑required
- A short explanation of why Echo interests you
- Examples of content, visuals or social media work
- Three example replies you would post from Echo on X or LinkedIn
- One content idea you would explore for Echo
