Production Manager – Manufacturing OperationsEchelon Engineers is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing processes across fabrication and assembly operations.
The RoleYou will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure on‐time delivery, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achieved while maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Follow and execute contract requirements in line with Master Production Schedules.
Instruct production supervisors and employees to ensure optimum workforce planning.
Minimise production constraints through effective scheduling of resources and deployment.
Generate and release Production Works Orders using MRP and CRP systems.
Coordinate with stores teams to collate scheduled work into component kits and sub‐assemblies.
Work with purchasing departments to progress orders and ensure on‐time delivery.
Manage shop floor data capture systems and ensure accurate time booking to contracts.
Approve overtime and collation of additional working hours.
Ensure works orders are completed with accurate labour booking and material allocation.
Conduct quality inspections and resolve manufacturing non‐conformances.
Generate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing processes.
Lead production meetings focusing on delivery performance.
Create a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration.
Requirements
Proven experience in production management within manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of MRP and CRP systems.
Excellent scheduling and planning capabilities.
Leadership experience with production teams.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety standards.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
