We are working with a key client seeking an experienced Project Manager ideally within material handling machinery or automation systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in delivering engineering projects from concept through to installation, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule targets are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle, from initial enquiry and design handover through to manufacture, installation, and client sign-off.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships throughout.
- Coordinate internal teams across design, manufacturing, and site services to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Oversee subcontractor activities and manage site installation phases.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in project execution.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years\’ project management experience within machinery manufacturing, material handling, conveyors, or automation systems.
- Proven track record delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Good technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles.
- Project management certification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) desirable but not essential.
