Echelon Engineers have an excellent opportunity for a BOM Engineer to join a leading manufacturer specialising in advanced machinery for clean room environments. This key role bridges Engineering and Projects departments, ensuring seamless coordination whilst taking ownership of manufacturing processes and driving cost reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of Sage Manufacturing operations within the department
  • Generate and manage work orders for production based on project requirements
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all products
  • Act as primary liaison between Engineering and Projects departments
  • Participate in design reviews and provide expert input on manufacturability
  • Evaluate component manufacturing feasibility based on design specifications
  • Analyse manufacturing costs and identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Coordinate with operations and projects teams to ensure timely execution
  • Monitor work order progress and resolve bottlenecks efficiently
  • Leverage historical product knowledge to support new product development
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in pre-production, manufacturing, or process engineering
  • Strong knowledge of multiple manufacturing methods
  • Experience managing sub-contract processes
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail

  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools
