What you will do:
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate towing and storage payouts on PD Claims while adhering to the established by-laws.
- Manage a pending of Pay Into Court files, as they arise.
- Act as liaison between Members, shops, tow operators, pounds, legal and salvage vendors to ensure TSU adherence.
- Responsible for ensuring that all Total Loss vehicles are moved to salvage, ensuring plates/personals removed, as well as vehicle released.
- Responsible for the repatriation of Stolen and Recovered vehicle processing either local or overseas.
- Collaborate effectively with peers/other departments.
- Remain up to date on industry trends and by laws.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Manager.
Who you are:
- Completion of Post-secondary education.
- 1-5 years prior claims handling experience coupled with 2-3 years customer service experience.
- Strong knowledge of relevant and current towing equipment, and towing and storage by-laws.
- Familiar with Small Claims Court practices/procedures and Pay Into Court, and cheque certification process.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
