We are looking for a Marketing Database Analyst to join our Marketing Analytics and Insights team. This role will provide campaign and analytics services to serve marketing lines of business (LOBs) and other functional areas in the organization to achieve their business objectives including customer acquisition, retention, product sales, customer engagement, etc. We regret that those without hands-on SAS or SQL experience will not be considered for the role.

What you will do-

  • Provide practical assistance in analytical data investigation, validation and implementation.
  • Identify new data or process enhancement opportunities and contribute to the enhancement.
  • Support the Supervisor of Marketing Analytics & Insights in quarterly request intake and project conversion process by clarifying and aligning on campaign objective and targeting criteria.
  • Use statistically-proven campaign targeting and testing methodology in experimental design.
  • Pull campaign lists by using SAS/SQL scripts and ensure waterfalls are signed off, lists are error-free and delivered on time.
  • Develop robust and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards for campaign performance measurement.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign variances and performance trends. Notify business of any significant changes and provide insights through data deep dives.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and initiatives and provide story-telling insights to facilitate decision making.
  • Leverage both 1st and 3rd party data, various platforms and analytical tools and models to reveal demo-, geo-, psychographic and behavioural insights through customer profiling & opportunity analysis.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering or Commerce.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication and story-telling skills – a true bridge between data and business.
  • 3+ years of analytics experience in database marketing, marketing analytics, campaign management, hypothesis testing and experimental design.
  • 3+ years of SAS or SQL programming with enterprise-level database.
  • 3+ years of BI reporting and visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
  • SAS Certified Advanced Programmer (SAS 9) is an asset.
  • Hands-on experience of SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) and T-SQL is an asset.
  • Hands-on experience of Environics Prizm and Envision is an asset.
