An exciting opportunity has arisen for a gardener or a trainee gardener looking to gain experience working with a small team on a beautiful private property, on a full basis near Swindon, Wiltshire. This role would suit reliable, hard-working candidates with good communication who have basic gardening experience. The gardens and small estate offer a rich and varied landscape, including formal borders, meadows, pond, woodland, kitchen gardens, animals and more.

Responsibilities

  • Prune, weeding, planting, training, growing and propagation of plants.
  • Help with harvesting, cutting flowers and managing plant supplies.
  • Perform general maintenance such as mowing, pest and disease control, hedge cutting and keep the grounds well presented.
  • Occasional feeding and checking of animals, help with firewood stacking and other general tasks.
  • Maintain an energetic, enthusiastic and collaborative approach to all jobs, big or small, with an eye for neatness and detail.

Qualifications

  • Have a base knowledge of gardening and be able to use mowers, strimmers and other machinery.
  • Be passionate about gardening, enjoy working to a high standard and have physical fitness and energy.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
