Package & Benefits:

  • Salary: from £38k per annum (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • General Electrical and HVAC plant maintenance.
  • Maintenance / repairs / replacements of lighting, rewires, electrical testing and all general electrical duties, including all other duties including mechanical & plumbing on site.
  • Health and safety awareness.
  • Maintain on-site log books, permits & site paperwork, ensuring they are completed and up to date.
  • Work as part of a mobile team; flexible, team-oriented and client-focused.
  • Post is based on a Mobile role, covering predominantly the Edinburgh area.
  • Callout rota on a rotating cycle (roughly 1 in 14 weeks).

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and experience in similar Electrical / HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer role.
  • Preferably from a Facilities Maintenance background and experience in similar environments.
  • Knowledge and experience of all electrical plant, including Air Handling Units and their associated controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories).
  • Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of all electrical installations, including wiring, testing, issuing written electrical test certification.

Qualifications:

  • Approved Electrical Apprenticeship (minimum requirement).
  • Passed AM2 (English qualification) or SVQ level 3 Electrical qualification with a final trade test completed.
  • Approved Electrician with 18th Edition Accreditation (minimum requirement).
  • Testing & Inspection 2391-52 Certification would be beneficial.
