Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Routine PPM visits & reactive repairs to electrical services assets (internal, external & emergency lighting, distribution boards) and carrying out meter readings etc.
- Weekly sprinkler system bell testing; daily/weekly inspections of plant rooms, switchrooms, roof areas & car parks.
- Plant room status & cleanliness checks.
- Accompany sub‑contractors around site for PPM/reactive works, when instructed to do so.
- Operate a tablet device in conjunction with ECG’s CAFM system ensuring all PPM and reactive tasks are completed timely.
- Develop positive working relationships with all stakeholders to enhance the professional reputation of ECG, whilst protecting the client’s brand.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations Director, Technical Services Manager, Compliance Team & Security Team.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- Experience operating in the private FM sector.
- Solid understanding of SFG20 service specification.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Self‑starter, able to work on own initiative as a conscientious team player.
- Organised communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- High level of verbal, written and numeric skills.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Engineering (or approved equivalent)
- Successful completion of the AM2 assessment.
- 18th Edition Accreditation is a minimum requirement.
- Testing & Inspection (2391‑52) Certification would be beneficial to the role.
