Purpose of the role

We are now recruiting for a Gas Mobile Maintenance Engineer, ideally with a background in facilities maintenance, to support and manage a varied client portfolio. This role involves delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services across a range of sites, including commercial office blocks, industrial units, retail environments, and student accommodation.

Essential duties & responsibilities

  • General Gas and HVAC plant maintenance
  • Maintenance / repairs / on general gas kit, Unvented hot water cylinders, including mechanical & plumbing on site.
  • Health and safety awareness.
  • To maintain on site log books, permits & site paperwork ensuring they are completed and up to date.
  • The Commercial Gas Engineer will be working as part of a mobile team, our client is looking for someone who is flexible, works well as part of a team and is client focussed.
  • The callout rota is on a rotating cycle (roughly 1 in 8 weeks).

Relevant Experience

  • Knowledge of gas systems/plant and over 5 years' experience in similar Gas/Plumbing / HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer type role.
  • Knowledge and experience of all Gas plant including, but not limited to Commercial gas boilers/water heaters, unvented hot water heaters, plumbing & pipework systems, expansion vessels, pumps etc.

Education & Training

  • NVQ Level 2/3
