Our referral equine hospital in Newbury, Berkshire UK is inviting applications for a full-time, 3-year ECEIM residency position in Equine Internal Medicine with the aim of achieving board certification by the European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM). This would be a full-time contract starting in early spring 2026 with a 1/3 OOH rota commitment for all types of emergencies.
We are a busy equine referral hospital with a diverse caseload including internal medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, neonatology, intensive care, diagnostic imaging, and sports medicine. Our team includes 3 ECEIM diplomates, 1 ECVS diplomate, 1 ACVS diplomate, 1 ISELP fellow, 1 imaging diplomate and 2 ECVS residents. There is also a team of 6 interns and 15 nurses who work within the hospital.
Suitable candidates would require:
- A Veterinary degree eligible to be registered with the RCVS
- Completed internship or equivalent clinical experience in equine practice
- A total of at least 2 years experience
