We’re looking for an Analyst to join our Global Education Solutions team at an incredibly exciting time. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is curious about international education and loves getting under the skin of complex questions. You’ll contribute to research, insight and analysis across a wide range of projects — from qualification benchmarking and higher education to language education, STEM, vocational education and bespoke international development work. You’ll love sinking your teeth into this role if you enjoy careful research, clear thinking and writing that helps people make sense of complexity. You’ll be working on client-facing projects where accuracy, evidence and judgement matter, helping produce reports and outputs that support real decisions in education and qualifications. This is a role for someone analytical, thoughtful and highly organised — someone who enjoys learning, asking good questions and developing specialist knowledge. You do not need to know every part of international education already, but you should be excited by the chance to build expertise in a field that connects education systems, qualifications and opportunity across the world.

Key responsibilities

  • Project delivery and management: Conduct quality research (well-sourced, well-referenced) and well-reasoned comparative analysis, ensuring that all project contributions are delivered to a high standard, to internal deadline and budget. Manage own workload to deliver assigned project work in line with internal deadlines set in the project workplan. For projects managed, create structured work plans in line with client objectives, demonstrating a clear understanding of the project process and methodology, and identifying clear project milestones and outputs. Monitor and report on progress at agreed intervals. Contribute to appropriate avenues for reflecting on the successes and lessons learned from completed projects.
  • Client engagement and business development: Supporting development of positive client relationships wherever possible, ensuring a clear and up-to-date understanding of their objectives, goals and constraints as relevant against which project progress and deliverables can be appropriately assessed.
  • Systems, team and practice and development: Through project delivery work and/or proposal writing, demonstrate a clear understanding of relevant Ecctis project methodologies and how these might be adapted. Support the peer review of project work as requested, contributing constructive feedback to project reports. Contribute ideas to the development of processes and procedures to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness. Take accountability for own development, drawing on project and proposal feedback and applying it to future work.
  • Corporate responsibility: To ensure that the credibility (externally) and values (internally and externally) of the company are communicated and upheld at all times.

Skills required

  • Strong teamwork and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing a complex personal workload, using own initiative to approach problems and make relevant suggestions to solve them.
  • Strong qualitative analysis skills.
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and can demonstrate high levels of accuracy in their work.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage their workload to meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • Can reflect on own and project performance and find routes for quality enhancement.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Values and behaviours

  • A supportive and co-operative team member.
  • Approachable and helpful to others.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Solutions driven.
  • Demonstrates respect for others at all times.
  • Acts as a role model within the team in relation to company values, quality of work, and attitudes and behaviours.
  • Strives for continuous improvement, always attempting to find ways to make personal and project quality enhancements.
  • Takes responsibility to build on existing knowledge and develop new and cutting-edge expertise to meet the needs of the business.
  • Adopts a flexible approach in how we respond to short and long deadlines, managing our own workload and understanding how our own work interacts with that of our colleagues.
  • Actively receives feedback provided by colleagues and engaging with the work of colleagues by providing thoughtful and thorough feedback to them.
  • Is committed to Ecctis’ ethos, actively demonstrating attitudes and behaviours that align with the values.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification, comparable to Bachelor degree standard in the UK.

Key Employee Benefits

  • 25 days annual leave plus swappable bank holidays, as well as additional 3.5 days gifted for the Winter office closure.
  • Life assurance of 4 x basic salary for members of the pension scheme.
  • Vitality Private Health and Bupa Dental Care Scheme with employee contribution.
  • Enhanced maternity pay, Paternity Leave.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Octopus EV scheme.
