We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining strong financial controls.

- Processing purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring correct coding and authorisation
- Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs
- Reconciling bank accounts and investigating any discrepancies
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation
- Carrying out ad hoc finance duties and administrative tasks to support the wider finance team
Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role
Good understanding of purchase ledger and basic accounting principles
Good IT skills, including Excel
Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, SAP, Oracle or similar)
Studying or willingness to study towards AAT or similar qualification
Professional and confidential in handling financial information
