The Opportunity: Credit Controller
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Credit Controller to join our finance team. Reporting to the AR Manager, you will play a key role in managing debtor accounts, reducing outstanding debts, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a varied and engaging role, offering the opportunity to liaise with colleagues across multiple departments, as well as customers, while contributing to the smooth operation of the finance function. You will thrive in this role if you are highly organised, confident in communication, and motivated by achieving results. You will manage multiple priorities, take ownership of your responsibilities, and contribute to improving processes that support business growth and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be a commercially minded and professional Credit Control Executive, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the debtor ledger, ensuring accurate and timely records.
- Chasing outstanding debts via telephone, email, and written correspondence to reduce debtor days.
- Liaising with internal teams and customers to resolve queries and resolve challenging accounts.
- Sending invoices, credit notes, and statements as required.
- Posting and allocating payments accurately.
- Performing daily and month-end account reconciliations.
- Opening new accounts and assessing credit availability for new and existing customers.
- Supporting the Sales Team with customer accounts and recording customer interactions to maintain detailed, accurate records.
- Providing a high level of administrative support and assisting with ad hoc tasks as required.
