About the role

Ecclesiastical Insurance, who are proudly part of Benefact Group are looking for a Claims Handler to join our Manchester office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an existing liability claims handler, to join the liability claims team in its city centre office. Working closely with your colleagues, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload from notification through to closure.

Engaging with various stakeholders and contributing to a dynamic and high-performing team, you will have a direct influence on the outcome of your team and department.

What you\’ll be doing

  • Managing a varied caseload of EL/ PL and TPPD claims whilst maintaining our market leading customer service and quality standards
  • Proactively handling all allocated claims, effectively communicating with all key internal and external stakeholders from initial notification through to final settlement
  • Monitoring, maintaining and developing personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development, supported by our Claims Faculty and robust coaching programme.

What you\’ll need to have

  • To be able to demonstrate a clear appreciation of the need for exceptional standards of customer service and costs containment
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage an EL/ PL and TPPD caseload
  • Strong negotiation skills both verbal and written
  • Track record of delivering excellence
  • Willingness to take full ownership of each individual claim
