We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and well-organised Receptionist to join our GP practice team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming, efficient, and confidential service. Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare setting is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner, in person and over the telephone
- Book, cancel, and manage appointments using the clinical system
- Handle patient enquiries and requests sensitively and confidentially
- Register new patients and update patient records accurately
- Process repeat prescription requests in line with practice procedures
- Liaise with clinicians, practice staff, and external services as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised reception area
- Follow practice policies, including confidentiality and data protection
