Position Overview

Director UK & Ireland – responsible for the British and Irish source markets.

Position based in London branch office of the German National Tourist Office, British employment contract, effective 1 January 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing, sales and public relations approach for the UK & Ireland source markets, with emphasis on digital.
  • Lead operational execution of marketing initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Coordinate with Head Office to align strategies and ensure consistency.
  • Manage and develop a marketing team to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Utilise modern cross‑marketing, online advertising, public‑private partnership strategies and AI tools.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Tourism Management or related discipline.
  • Several years in a senior leadership role within marketing or tourism, preferably in an international or destination marketing organisation.
  • Professional experience abroad and deep knowledge of German, UK and Irish tourism structures.
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
