This very well-regarded international law firm is seeking a Counsel or Partner to join its highly regarded Leveraged Finance team in Manchester.
This is an outstanding opportunity to play a leading role in the continued growth of one of the UK's most well-known law firms, advising an impressive client base of credit funds, private equity sponsors, borrowers and financial institutions on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions.
The successful candidate will have significant experience advising credit funds operating in the mid-market, with a strong track record of acting on leveraged acquisition financings, refinancings, recapitalisations and general corporate lending transactions. You will be commercially minded, technically strong and confident leading transactions while building and developing long-term client relationships.
As part of a collaborative national finance practice, you will work alongside market-leading lawyers across banking, private equity, restructuring and corporate teams, with access to an established client base and a significant pipeline of high-quality work. The role offers genuine autonomy, the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of the practice and to contribute to the ongoing growth of the firm's credit fund offering.
Interested in lawyers who can demonstrate:
- Extensive leveraged finance experience gained at a leading national or international law firm.
- Strong expertise advising credit funds and other alternative lenders in the mid-market.
- Experience leading complex financing transactions from inception through to completion.
- Excellent technical, commercial and client relationship skills.
- A collaborative approach and a desire to contribute to business development and team growth.
- For Partner candidates, an existing client following or a demonstrable business case would be advantageous, although not essential for exceptional candidates.
