The predicted salary is between 40500 - 49500 £ per year.

Office based in Reading with the option to work from home / remote one day per week; and travel as required to our other sites, on average one day per week to Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol + Glasgow.

Do you have:

  • Proven HR Advisory experience or HR Manager ideally within the financial services or similar professional services sector?
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach; the ability to balance technical HR requirements with the need to move the business forward.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a broad range of ER cases independently
  • Experience of working with an HRIS – ideally including system administration, workflow configuration or improvement of projects
  • Experience of supporting recruitment processes including interviews and candidate assessment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to apply this practically and pragmatically
  • The ability to manage a varied and fast-moving workload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines without compromising quality
  • Strong attention to detail — particularly in relation to documentation, records and compliance
  • Problem-solving skills — able to identify practical solutions to people challenges and advise managers with confidence
  • Resilient and calm under pressure — able to hold steady in difficult conversations or uncertain situations

As part of this continued growth, we are now seeking a HR Manager to join our UK Head Office in Reading support approximately 230 employees across our five regional UK offices. Based at our Reading office, the HR Manager is the first point of contact for all employees and junior to middle managers across eCapital's five UK offices, providing practical and legally sound people support. Reporting to the Head of HR, the role delivers operational HR activity across the full employee lifecycle, drives improvements to HR systems and processes, and supports the delivery of eCapital's people agenda — combining commercial thinking, strong day-to-day execution with a genuine commitment to a great employee experience.

If you have:

  • Proven solid experience as a HR Advisor or HR Manager
  • CIPD membership level 5 and/or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a broad range of ER cases independently
  • Experience of working with an HRIS — ideally including system administration, workflow configuration or improvement projects
  • Experience of supporting recruitment processes including interviews and candidate assessment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to apply this practically and pragmatically
  • Confident and credible communicator — able to build trust with employees at all levels, from junior staff to senior managers
  • Ability to manage a varied and fast-moving workload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines without compromising quality
