Your Role & Responsibilities:

As a Fundraising and Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting The Roberts Centre to secure funding, promote our work and strengthen our engagement with the communities we serve. Working closely with the CEO and colleagues across our services, you will identify funding opportunities, support funding applications and help raise awareness of the organisation and the impact of our work.

You will:

• Researchand identify suitable grants, trusts, foundations and other funding opportunities for existing services and potential new projects.
• Work alongside the CEO to identify new project and funding opportunities.
• Prepare and submit clear and accurate funding applications, gathering relevant information from services and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Maintain records of funding opportunities, applications, deadlines and outcomes, and assist with information required by funders.
• Promote The Roberts Centre, its services, activities, events and achievements through social media and other communication channels.
• Create engaging social media content and assist with website updates, promotional materials and fundraising campaigns.
• Build positive relationships with local communities, organisations and other stakeholders to raise awareness of The Roberts Centre and its services.
• Plan, organise and support community events and activities to promote the organisation and encourage engagement.
• Represent The Roberts Centre at community events and promotional opportunities, including local radio where appropriate.
• Engage with service users to gather feedback and experiences that demonstrate the impact of our services, ensuring appropriate consent, confidentiality and safeguarding requirements are followed.
• Maintain accurate records relating to fundraising, marketing, events and community engagement activities.
• Take an active role in continuous improvement and contribute to our supportive team culture.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive content.
• Strong research skills and the ability to identify relevant funding opportunities and information.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence communicating with a wide range of people.
• Experience of producing written applications, proposals, reports or similar professional content.
• Experience of using social media to communicate or promote information.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Able to create clear and engaging social media and promotional content.
• Confident engaging with community organisations, service users and members of the public.
• Experience of fundraising or preparing grant or trust funding applications (desirable).
• Experience of organising or supporting events or community activities (desirable).
• A proactive team player who can also work independently and use initiative.
• Tact, diplomacy and discretion, with the ability to communicate sensitively with service users.

Requirements:

• Able to travelwithin the local community to attend meetings, events and promotional activities.
• Full driving licence and access to avehicleinsured for business use.
• Flexibility to attend occasional events, community activities or media opportunities outside normal working hours when required.
• Enhanced DBS check required in line with Safer Recruitment practices.
