Are you an experienced Commercial Property Surveyor looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of a diverse portfolio and have genuine input into how assets are managed?

EC Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and highly regarded property consultancy with more than 50 years' experience across the South East.

They are looking for a Commercial Property Surveyor to join their growing team, managing a varied portfolio across retail, industrial, office, warehousing and mixed-use property.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in commercial property management who enjoys building strong client relationships, solving problems and identifying opportunities to add value.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a diverse commercial property portfolio, working closely with clients, tenants, contractors and the wider property team.

Alongside core property management responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to become involved in asset management initiatives, new instructions and the continued development of the department.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing a varied portfolio of commercial properties across the region.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, landlords, tenants and contractors.
  • Undertaking regular property inspections.
  • Preparing, managing and reconciling service charge budgets.
  • Managing lease events and ensuring key dates and obligations are monitored.
  • Overseeing repairs, maintenance and contractor activity.
  • Managing tenant queries and resolving property-related issues proactively.
  • Producing clear and professional client reports.
  • Monitoring portfolio performance and identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Supporting asset management initiatives where appropriate.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their objectives and provide practical property advice.
  • Supporting new instructions, pitches and wider business development activity.
  • Contributing ideas and helping to refine processes as the department continues to grow.

About You

We are looking for someone with proven commercial property management experience who is confident managing their own workload and building strong relationships with clients and occupiers.

Ideally, you will have

  • Previous experience managing commercial property.
  • Experience across retail, office, industrial, warehousing or mixed-use assets.
  • A good understanding of commercial leases and landlord and tenant matters.
  • Experience preparing and managing service charge budgets.
  • Strong client and tenant relationship management skills.
  • Confidence carrying out inspections and dealing with property issues independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to improve asset performance.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Assoc RICS or MRICS qualification would be highly desirable , although applications are also welcomed from experienced Commercial Property Managers with a strong technical background who can demonstrate the relevant commercial property experience.
