Following continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their Planned Maintenance team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 3–4 years' construction project management experience who enjoys taking ownership of projects from quotation through to completion. Working closely with high-profile clients, Quantity Surveyors and subcontractors, you will be responsible for managing planned maintenance projects ranging from £20,000 to £500,000, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from quotation through to completion.
- Review client scopes of works and prepare quotations and tenders.
- Manage project budgets and commercial performance.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor throughout project delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Identify and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Around 3–4 years' construction project management experience.
- Experience delivering projects from inception through to completion.
- Previous quoting and tendering experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Good technical understanding of construction projects.
- Experience managing subcontractors.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- A proactive approach with the ability to use your own initiative.
- Experience of Lean processes and project management software would be advantageous but is not essential.
This role offers a varied working environment, with approximately 60% of your time based from the company's office in Hackney and 40% spent on site in Basildon. This provides the opportunity to work closely with both the office and site teams whilst seeing projects through every stage of delivery.
Package
£35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience. Increased holiday package.
