Job Title Chartered Building Surveyor Level Senior Surveyor or Associate Location West End, London Salary and Package Salary commensurate with experience and level, up to £85,000 + bonus + benefits | Hybrid working The Opportunity An expanding building surveying consultancy is looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor at Senior or Associate level to take ownership of a varied mix of project and professional work. You’ll join a close-knit team with direct access to the directors and responsibility for your own clients. The role offers scope to develop your responsibilities and progress within the practice, with the appointment shaped around your experience. It suits someone who enjoys delivering work, building client relationships and contributing ideas to how a consultancy develops. The Work Contract administration will be an important part of the role, alongside surveys and professional instructions across residential and commercial property. Your responsibilities will include: Managing contract administration instructions from inception to completion Undertaking building surveys and preparing technical reports Advising on defects, dilapidations, party wall matters and technical due diligence Preparing reinstatement cost assessments and planned maintenance programmes Leading client meetings and coordinating with contractors and professional teams Contributing to business development and marketing Supporting the directors in developing the practice Candidate Profile MRICS qualified, with substantial consultancy experience Strong across both project and professional building surveying Confident managing instructions and advising clients directly Organised and able to balance several projects Comfortable working collaboratively in a small team Interested in taking greater responsibility as the practice grows Why This Role Ownership of your instructions and client relationships A varied workload with substantial contract administration exposure Direct support from both directors The opportunity to influence how the practice develops Scope for professional progression and increasing responsibility Hybrid working, with office attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays and flexibility around home working and site visits during the rest of the week Package Salary commensurate with experience and level, up to £85,000 Structured bonus linked to agreed goals 28 days’ annual leave plus Christmas closure Company-funded CPD, training and networking Professional fees paid Click Apply or get in touch for a confidential conversation with Andrew Pearson at EC Property Recruitment.
