I’m working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy to appoint a Senior or Associate Building Surveyor into its Building Surveying team in Orpington. They offer very flexible working patterns with a minimum requirement of only 1 day in the office in Orpington, meaning candidates living a little further afield could consider this.
This is a role for someone who wants to step into a more influential position—leading projects, supporting team development, and working within a business that delivers meaningful work across both the public and commercial sectors. You’ll be joining a collaborative, technically strong team with a consistent pipeline of secured work and a reputation for quality delivery.
The Role
- You’ll take a senior role within the Building Surveying team, leading on a range of project and professional instructions, often of a complex nature.
- This is a hands-on delivery role with real responsibility, where you’ll be trusted to manage projects, advise clients, and support the wider team.
- Lead and deliver building surveying projects, including more complex schemes.
- Manage projects from inception through to completion.
- Provide technical advice on defects, condition, and Party Wall matters.
- Deliver pre-contract services including procurement advice and project setup.
- Produce high-quality reports, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Administer JCT contracts across a range of schemes.
- Undertake site inspections, managing risk, compliance, and health.
