Our client specialises in vehicle and plant repairs, maintenance, and fleet management. The role of Vehicle Technician will be working on corporate clients' fleet. Based at their head office location in Wickford, Essex, they are seeking a vehicle technician to join a team working on a variety of jobs for their corporate clients. This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the role and tasks involved in the vehicle technician role. Responsibilities:
- Inspecting vehicles and diagnosing any required work.
- Discussing required repairs with the admin team and customers.
- Calculating the expected time for repairs.
- Repairing or replacing components as required.
- Road testing vehicles to test repair work or diagnose.
- Fitting and servicing vehicle accessories, including parking sensors, cameras, towbars and reverse cameras.
- Performing service and vehicle system safety checks.
- Performing vehicle maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and air filters, brakes, clutch, gearbox, suspension and diagnostics as required.
- Cleaning and maintaining the workshop and tools.
