About the Role
As Head of Content, you will lead the next phase of growth for a functioning and ambitious department. In this context, content means the end-to-end audience narrative and media experience within an event or brand experience - including scripting, motion, film, digital, spatial content, and how these elements are integrated into a physical or hybrid environment before, during and after the event lifecycle. Working in close partnership with the Executive Creative Director and Content-focused Creative Directors, you will ensure that exceptional creative output is underpinned by strong commercial performance, effective operations and a clear, scalable offering. You will partner with our Chief Growth Officer to define how content evolves within EC - expanding its reach, sharpening its commercial edge and embedding it more deeply across the business. This is a head of department role, requiring strength in commercial ownership, operational delivery and people leadership, with the confidence to influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Growth
- Define EC’s approach to event-led content across the full lifecycle - including pre-event narrative development, live experience delivery, and post-event content extension
- Identify and develop new revenue streams, including standalone content opportunities
- Position content as a core part of the EC offer and a differentiator in the market
- Own departmental financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability and forecasting
- Contribute to broader business strategy as part of the senior leadership team

- Build strong, trusted relationships at the senior client level
- Spot and convert opportunities to grow accounts and expand the content offering
- Balance creative ambition with commercial delivery, ensuring strong outcomes across both
- Creative Partnership
- Partner closely with the Executive Creative Director to deliver best-in-class content
- Bring a strong understanding of how content is designed for and integrated into live, spatial and immersive experiences
- Lead the development of audience-first narratives that translate into stage content, film, motion, digital surfaces and interactive moments
- Ensure content is considered from concept development through to live delivery and post-event reuse
- Ensure the team is set up to deliver creative excellence consistently and at scale
- Stay connected to industry trends and innovation, bringing ideas and perspective into the business
- Leadership & Capability
- Lead, develop and grow a multidisciplinary content team
- Create clarity in structure, roles and progression to support long‑term growth
