We are a fast-growing agricultural business, and we are looking for a motivated Assistant Poultry Farm Manager to assist in the running of one of our broiler farms near Craven Arms, Shropshire. If you’re ready to build a long-term future in poultry, we want to hear from you. This is your chance to progress within a dynamic and supportive business. Our ideal candidate is driven, organised and passionate about bird welfare. You’ll play a key role in ensuring excellent crop performance while maintaining high standards across welfare, safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive):

  • Care for the birds daily checking their housing, feed, water, ventilation and overall welfare
  • Keep sheds clean, well-maintained and ready for each new flock
  • Complete simple daily paperwork and keep accurate records
  • Maintain strong hygiene and biosecurity to protect the birds and the site
  • Handle birds humanely and remove any that have died
  • Support and supervise staff and contractors working on the farm
  • Order essential supplies such as feed and fuel
  • Carry out basic farm and equipment maintenance
  • Work closely with your Farm Manager, vets and wider team to maintain strong performance and good welfare
  • Assist nearby farms when needed
  • Follow all Health and Safety regulations
