We’re looking for a proactive and driven Poultry Area Manager to oversee the performance, welfare, and operational standards across a portfolio of poultry farms in the Brackley area. This position will work alongside our team of Area Managers to provide support to the general manager, where you’ll support farm managers, ensure consistent leadership, compliance with industry standards, and continue the drive for continuous improvement in bird welfare, productivity, and biosecurity.
Further responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working with the farms team to ensure the highest standards of bird welfare, compliance and performance
- Overseeing and controlling the financial performance and implementing cost efficiencies
- Effectively communicating and coordinating the retailers’ requirements
- Analysing, monitoring and recording performance
- Assisting in technical queries and problem solving
- Meeting all the regulatory compliance standards
- Driving change and implementing improvements where necessary
- Providing on-call support for your allocated farms
- Managing H&S matters and ensuring compliance
- Managing HR matters with the support of the HR Team including employee development
- Managing induction training
Candidates will need to demonstrate capability and knowledge of broiler production and will be able to show well-developed people management skills in order to lead and support the team of Farm Managers and assistants operating on the individual farms.
