EC Aluminium Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially aware industry professional with experience in the aluminium glazing, curtain walling, facade or wider building envelope sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation of competitive and technically accurate tenders for a diverse range of glazing projects throughout the UK.

Working closely with architects, main contractors and internal teams, you will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, assessing technical specifications and preparing detailed cost estimates for the design, manufacture, supply and installation of architectural aluminium window, door and curtain walling systems. This is a full‑time, office‑based position, working from our headquarters in Glenrothes, Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities within project enquiries
  • Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and supply chain partners
  • Supporting value engineering and alternative design proposals
  • Working collaboratively with design, procurement and project delivery teams
  • Managing multiple tenders and deadlines effectively

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience estimating architectural aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling systems
  • Strong technical understanding of glazing and facade construction
  • Experience on Logikal software
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and professional approach to client relationships and project delivery
