The Engineering team at Ebury is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to play a crucial part in our team. As part of our diverse team spread across South America and Europe, the successful candidate will be entrusted with the development and optimisation of our multi-currency account systems, incoming funds, and outgoing payment processes. You will be required to make significant contributions to our platform as we continually aim to bring it to the next level and deliver the best payment experience for our clients and operational teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the next iteration of our platform, designed to streamline cross-border payments and the international collection of funds.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engineering leaders to design new services and components.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members, positively changing the trajectory of the team to increase the overall effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead product initiatives from analysis to delivery, working closely with the product and operational teams to ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in English, both written and spoken, when working with colleagues from different countries.
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, ensuring that technical solutions align with business objectives and user needs.
  • Construct and manage services with proficiency in establishing standard APIs, incorporating monitoring systems and alerting services, and integrating external systems.
  • Maintain code quality with tests; ensure units and integration tests are well covered.
  • Work with CI Jenkins pipelines and Terraform for deployment of services and infrastructure, contributing when needed.
  • Own the products you build, embracing both development and ongoing maintenance.
