As the Senior Product Manager for FX Expansion, you will move beyond the day-to-day "build" and focus entirely on growth and scale. Your mission is to identify where our next FX Product growth will come from by aggressively expanding our FX product suite and launching into new products and geographic territories. This is not a "maintenance" role. You will act as a financial product architect and Global Subject Matter Expert (SME), determining how our existing FX capabilities can be adapted, enhanced, and deployed to drive FX product expansion.
Responsibilities
- Geographic Expansion & Market Entry: Lead the product roadmap for entering new countries. Define the tasks and developments required for success in specific regions (e.g., LATAM, APAC), ensuring FX products comply with local market nuances while maintaining global scalability.
- Product Suite Diversification: Identify gaps in the current FX offering. Spearhead the launch of new product variations and capabilities—such as exotic currency pairs, product processes, or structured derivatives—to meet the needs of diverse global enterprises.
- Cross-Domain Program Management: Lead high-impact, cross-functional programs spanning multiple domains. Orchestrate project delivery across Legal, Compliance, Treasury, and Sales to ensure expansion initiatives are integrated seamlessly.
- Knowledge Governance & Documentation: Own the end-to-end source of truth for the FX product suite. Ensure all product documentation—including internal playbooks, API technical specifications, and client-facing guides—is high quality, technically accurate, and continuously updated.
- Global FX SME: Serve as the definitive Subject Matter Expert for the FX domain. Provide strategic guidance to other product areas and senior leadership, ensuring FX logic and market mechanics are understood and correctly implemented across global channels.
- Commercial Growth Strategy: Shift focus from "features" to "revenue." Work with Sales and Trading to understand and build the FX product strategy to drive client growth.
- High-Level Stakeholder Influence: Bridge between regional heads and global leadership. Provide the business case for expansion, justifying investment based on market size, regulatory ease, and competitive advantage.
- FX Domain Mastery: Demonstrate deep derivative knowledge (Spot, Forwards, NDFs, and Options) and global regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II).
- Project & Program Management: Demonstrate experience managing complex, multi-departmental projects with a focus on timeline adherence and dependency management.
- User-Centric Approach: Solve user friction points; use research and data to ensure expansion efforts deliver immediate value.
- Market Entry Specialist: Successfully take a financial product from concept to live in different global regions.
- Growth Mindset: Driven by KPIs related to volume growth, client acquisition, and geographic footprint.
- Communication Excellence: Influence C-suite stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Product Management, specifically within FX or Global Payments, with a proven track record of launching products in multiple jurisdictions.
- FX Domain Mastery: Deep derivative knowledge (Spot, Forwards, NDFs, and Options) and understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II).
- Demonstrated experience in Project & Program Management across complex, multi-department initiatives.
- User-Centric Approach with a data-driven mindset to reduce friction and deliver value.
- Market Entry experience: Successfully launching a financial product from concept to live in multiple regions.
- Growth-oriented mindset and ability to tie product work to revenue and client growth.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
