The Legal Department at Ebury is core to the functioning of the Ebury Group. It provides front-line advice to all parts of the Ebury Group on legal, regulatory and governance matters which contribute to Ebury's growth every day. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven dispute resolution lawyer who is keen to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and growing company which is focused on building Ebury's brand.

The successful candidate will provide high quality legal advice to key stakeholders in Spain, the United Kingdom and overseas and be pivotal to Ebury's development on a global scale. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on and managing a broad range of disputes both E&W-focussed and globally, including high-value disputes, asset recovery, employment related matters, and contentious regulatory matters;
  • Advising, updating and liaising with internal stakeholders on contentious matters, including Risk, Compliance, Operations, Front Office, and various Boards and committees, on group wide dispute resolution;
  • Building relationships with stakeholders and business units across the Group and becoming a trusted advisor on a range of issues;
  • Monitoring legal developments relevant to the group's activities to identify, manage and report risks, acting as adviser to the business with a view to minimising disputes risk and driving process change where required to reduce group-wide litigation risk.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years relevant post-qualified professional experience, either in private practice or in-house, practising as a qualified lawyer with commercial disputes and employment experience;
  • Experience of advising financial services providers on contentious matters (with a working knowledge of relevant rules, common law principles and key financial services regulations);
  • Experience of employment law and employment-related disputes would also be helpful (including, employment tribunal/litigation claims, terminations, disciplinary matters and grievances);
