The Credit Risk team undertakes a thorough, rigorous analysis of the Private Market Funds looking to use our services. This includes an assessment of their markets and investment mandates, performance and asset quality. You will be expected to prepare submissions and present to our Credit Committee making recommendations, as well as contribute to the development of automated risk modelling and to adapt our processes to local markets.
Responsibilities- Conduct credit assessments of private market funds (PE, VC, Credit), evaluating their investment mandate, performance and asset quality.
- Analyze Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs) and private placement memorandums to understand leverage limits and derivative restrictions.
- Recommend, structure, and approve credit limits for derivatives and establish margin requirements tailored to the fund's liquidity profile.
- Maintain continuous oversight of portfolio of funds, tracking asset quality, NAV movements and liquidity.
- Evaluate redemption mechanics, gate provisions, and distribution waterfalls to understand potential liquidity drains.
Experience: 3–5 years in fund finance or leveraged finance. Experience in assessing GP track record and the quality of the LP base. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. CFA, CAIA, or FRM designations are valued.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ISDA / CSA documentation; understanding of Fund structures. Understanding of fund lifecycles, capital call mechanics, waterfall structures, and valuation methodologies. Financial analysis proficiency in analyzing fund financial statements, NAV reports, and legal structures. Experience in reviewing LPAs.
