About the Role

This is a fully onsite position combining both quantity surveying and estimating responsibilities, offering excellent exposure across commercial and operational aspects of projects. You will be working within a niche area of the construction industry, Conservation and Restoration, covering projects involving stonemasonry, slate work, lime work, joinery and leadwork. With a diverse and established client base, this role offers hands-on experience, meaningful responsibility, and the autonomy to shape your professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting tender pricing and preparing submissions.
  • Assisting with cost valuations and variation pricing.
  • Carrying out on-site measurements and project monitoring.
  • Producing material take-offs and supporting procurement activities.
  • Assisting with subcontractor orders and contract administration.
  • Maintaining commercial and quality control procedures.
  • Monitoring project progress and supporting cost control.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Around 2 years’+ experience in a Quantity Surveying or Estimating role.
  • Experience within the construction industry preferred.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a positive attitude.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients and colleagues.
