We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across the business by developing insightful reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools. This role is ideally suited to a candidate with strong Power BI expertise and a good understanding of finance processes, who can bridge the gap between data, finance, and business performance. The successful candidate will help transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI for finance and business stakeholders.
- Partner with FP&A, finance, and operational teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Analyse financial and operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance review processes through robust reporting and insight generation.
- Develop and optimise data models, datasets, and reporting structures to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, consistency, and governance.
- Automate manual reporting processes where possible to reduce effort and improve timeliness.
- Provide variance analysis and ad hoc reporting to support decision-making across the business.
- Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business definitions and KPIs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in reporting, analytics, and performance management.
- Proven experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate meaningful insights.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools and data extraction processes.
- Experience working with ERP or finance systems is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across finance and non-finance teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings in a clear and business-friendly way.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience supporting finance team in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with SQL and other data querying / transformation tools.
- Experience in data governance, master data, or reporting standardisation initiatives.
- Exposure to international or matrix organisations.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, utilities, or related sectors would be advantageous.
