I am delighted to be partnering with a fantastic B2B Integrated Comms Agency who are looking for an experienced strategic individual to join their agency. This is a pivotal role for someone who understands that great communication starts with a deep understanding of the business, its ambitions and the commercial goals it needs to achieve.

The successful candidate will be someone who can get under the skin of a business, understand where it wants to go, and then translate those objectives into compelling brand storytelling, communications and strategic programmes that help move the business forward. It’s a senior, highly visible position, working closely with founders and senior client stakeholders. The role will combine strategic thinking, client leadership, commercial understanding and team leadership.

The agency is entering an exciting phase of growth, with an established client base and a strong track record of delivering strategic, creative and communications work. The new hire will help shape the next stage of that growth — strengthening senior client relationships, elevating strategic thinking and helping clients see communications as a genuine driver of business performance.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business objectives, challenges and ambitions.
  • Translate business goals into clear strategic direction, brand positioning and communications programmes.
  • Act as a trusted strategic adviser to senior and C-suite client stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic conversations and challenge clients constructively when needed.
  • Connect brand, storytelling, content and communications to measurable business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen and grow existing client relationships.
  • Play a senior role in new business, pitches and proposals.
  • Help shape the agency’s strategic proposition and approach.
  • Lead and mentor teams, raising the standard of strategic thinking across the agency.
  • Work closely with the founders and wider agency leadership as the business continues to scale.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in B2B, ideally within an agency, consultancy or similarly strategic environment. They’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience developing business-led strategies for clients.
  • A strong understanding of how brand, storytelling and communications can support commercial objectives.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-suite audiences.
  • A track record of building trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Strong strategic and commercial instincts.
  • Experience across brand, communications, content and/or strategy.
  • The ability to turn complex business challenges into clear, compelling strategic narratives.
  • Experience developing new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Strong leadership skills and the confidence to influence both clients and internal teams.

Above all, this role needs someone who can think beyond communications. Someone who starts with the question: What is the business trying to achieve? — and then works backwards to determine how strategy, brand and communications can help make that happen.

Why this role?

Location: Mostly on-site

Salary: £65,000–£70,000

Working pattern: Full-time, with flexibility around a 4-day week for the right person.

If you’re a commercially minded strategist with strong B2B experience and a passion for connecting business objectives with brand and communications, I’d love to hear from you.
