This agency specialises in helping businesses sharpen what they’re known for – combining strategic clarity, storytelling and creative execution across earned and owned channels.
As Account Director, you’ll take senior ownership of key global client accounts, acting as the strategic lead and primary day-to-day contact. This is a highly client-facing role requiring confidence, judgement and authority. You’ll set direction, shape narrative, oversee delivery, and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, knowing when to lead, when to challenge, and when to push for better.
Key Responsibilities- Client & Account Leadership

- Act as the senior day-to-day contact, including with founders and executive teams
- Build trust through clarity, consistency and follow-through
- Challenge constructively when quality, focus or narrative is at risk
- Lead the development of integrated communications strategies
- Define and refine the narratives clients should own in their markets
- Translate business objectives into earned and owned content programmes
- Ensure consistency of messaging across channels and outputs
- Oversee earned media activity including announcements, thought leadership, commentary, interviews and reactive opportunities
- Ensure owned content (executive content, articles, reports, long-form pieces) is strategically aligned and editorially strong
- Act as the final quality gate across tone, detail, messaging and timing
- Coach and develop account managers and executives
- Delegate clearly across multiple workstreams
- Raise standards across writing, media relations and strategic thinking
- Provide calm, decisive leadership under pressure
- Play a senior role in shaping how the agency works with clients
- Support account growth and retention through excellent delivery
- Represent the agency with credibility and confidence externally
I am looking for:
- 6+ years’ experience in B2B communications (agency background essential)
- Proven experience leading complex, high-pressure client accounts
- Strong understanding of earned media and how it integrates with owned content
- Sharp strategic instincts and narrative judgement
- Exceptionally high standards and attention to detail
- Natural authority with clients and teams
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills
